Tragic Discovery in Quiet Welsh Community

A 21-year-old woman has been found dead in the quiet Welsh town of Cardigan, with her body discovered hidden on a boat at the local Netpool Boat Yard. The victim has been identified by local sources as Corinna Rose, a young woman described by her devastated family as their "dearest angel".

The grim discovery was made at 12.35pm on Saturday after Corinna had left her home in Cardigan on Thursday evening for a night out and never returned. Police have launched a murder investigation that has already led to the arrest of a 29-year-old man on suspicion of murder.

Scene of the Crime

The body was found on a dry-docked boat at Netpool Boat Yard in Cardigan, close to the mouth of the River Teifi estuary. Witnesses reported seeing a boat covered in black tarpaulin being removed by police for forensic examination.

The boatyard sits among former fishermen's cottages in an area that closed more than two decades ago. Some of the vessels in the yard remain occupied, adding to the shock of local residents in the town of approximately 4,000 people.

Family Tributes and Community Mourning

Corinna's heartbroken family have paid emotional tribute to their "fun-loving" sister. Her sister Caitlyn wrote: "Heaven has the most beautiful, funny and stubborn angel entering the gates. Please respect mine and my family's privacy during this time."

Another sister, Shante, added: "Fly high gorgeous. I wish I told you more how much you meant to me and that I loved you. I will always love you and think of you."

The local community has been deeply affected by the tragedy, with the neighbourhood pub closing its doors to mark what they described as a "death in the family".

Police Investigation Continues

Dyfed Powys Police are urgently appealing for information from anyone who was in the area of Netpool Boat Yard from around 9pm on Thursday, November 13th who may have witnessed anything suspicious.

A police spokesperson confirmed: "Police continue to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and are particularly interested in speaking with anybody who may have been at the location, from around 9pm on Thursday 13, November."

The investigation remains active as officers work to piece together the final movements of the 21-year-old and the circumstances that led to her tragic death.
