Quentin Tarantino and Kylie Minogue have been seen filming in the Welsh seaside town of Porthcawl for a new movie directed by the prolific British filmmaker Jamie Adams. The duo was photographed at the Saltwater Inn, where they reportedly laughed and sang together during a scene set at a wake. Additionally, a funeral scene was filmed at a church in the nearby village of Newton.

Tarantino spotted in Cardiff

BBC Wales reported that Tarantino was also seen on Friday at the Parkgate Hotel in Cardiff, enjoying a drink with the film crew. The sighting adds to the buzz surrounding the project, which remains largely under wraps.

Adams' previous collaboration with Tarantino

According to a report in Variety, the film is a new project by Adams, who previously cast Tarantino in his film Only What We Carry. That film premiered on June 6 at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York. Described as an improvisational drama shot in six days on the Normandy coast, Only What We Carry stars Charlotte Gainsbourg as a dancer and Simon Pegg as her former choreographer, with Tarantino appearing in a small role as a wealthy benefactor.

Adams on working with Tarantino

In a February report by Variety, Adams shared how he convinced Tarantino to join the cast. He said he sent Tarantino the script for Only What We Carry and then met with him over Zoom. Adams remarked, "Once you hear his voice, you're transported. It's like Disneyland for film-makers."

The new film, set in Wales, continues Adams' trend of working with high-profile talent in intimate, improvised settings.
