Ryanair is launching a new route from Manchester Airport starting June 1, following flights from London Stansted that began in April. The city, located on the Costa del Azahar, has pleasantly surprised visitors. One popular TikToker (@destinationlocator) said: 'Walking through the charming squares with barely any tourists felt like a secret discovery. The hidden gem offered a refreshing contrast to the usual crowds.'

Start at the iconic central market, Mercado Central, which has been operating since 1949. With over 80 stalls, you can spend hours sampling local produce. Next, visit the Town Hall, a stunning Baroque building from the 17th century, and the Santa Maria la Mayor Church, dating back to the 13th century (rebuilt after the Spanish Civil War). Don't miss the El Fadri gothic bell tower, a major landmark, though climbing to the top may be anticlimactic. Relax in Ribalta Park, then head to the Hermitage of Santa María Magdalena atop a hill.
