Severe delays on two Tube lines at rush hour

Commuters faced severe delays on two London Underground lines during rush hour on Wednesday, July 1, with additional disruptions across the Transport for London (TfL) network.

Bakerloo and Piccadilly lines hit hardest

The Bakerloo line is experiencing severe delays along its entire length, while the Piccadilly line has severe delays between Acton Town, Heathrow Terminals 4 and 5, and Uxbridge. The rest of the Piccadilly line is also subject to minor delays.

According to TfL, the cause of the disruptions is not yet clear, and it remains uncertain when services will return to normal.

Other lines affected

The Metropolitan line is facing minor delays between Harrow on the Hill and Baker Street. Meanwhile, the entire Mildmay line on the London Overground is suspended.

Passengers are advised to check before traveling and allow extra time for their journeys.
