Serious motorbike crash closes A245 Byfleet Road

Police officers are at the scene of a serious collision involving a motorbike on the A245 Byfleet Road in Surrey. The collision was reported at around 7.15am this morning (October 8). Officers attended with South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust and Surrey Fire and Rescue Service.

Road closed in both directions

The road is closed in both directions between the roundabout linking it with Parvis Road and Brooklands Road and the Seven Hills Road junction. Police have asked people to avoid the area where possible and follow diversions.

Traffic congestion reported

Traffic is queueing from Brooklands Road to Seven Hills Road. Congestion has been reported towards Weybridge, along Seven Mile Lane, back into Cobham from the A3 at Painshill Roundabout, and around Weybridge station. Queues have also been reported from St George’s Avenue, Hanger Hill, Heath Road and through Addlestone.

Closure remains in place

The closure remains in place in both directions. Motorists are advised to plan alternative routes and expect delays in the surrounding areas.
