Kent Police have arrested two further men in connection with a shooting in Swanley, bringing the total number of arrests to four. The latest arrests were made today (October 9) as the investigation into the incident on Acacia Walk continues.
Shooting incident and victim's condition
Police were called to Acacia Walk at around 8.50pm yesterday (October 8) following reports of a serious assault. A man in his 20s was found with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds and was taken to a London hospital. He remains in a serious but stable condition.
Two men were arrested later that evening and remained in custody pending further enquiries when police issued their latest update. Kent Police has now confirmed that two further men were arrested today in connection with the incident.
Police statement and investigation
Chief Inspector Paul Diddams said: “Officers remain at the scene and cordons are in place while an investigation is underway.
“The parties involved are believed to be known to one another and we are treating this as an isolated incident.
“Patrols will remain in the area for community reassurance and we ask anyone with information, who has not yet spoken to police, to contact us on 101 quoting reference 08-1577.
“We are particularly keen to hear from those with private CCTV, or dashcam footage who may have been in the area at the time.”
