Seven London Underground lines are facing delays this morning (Saturday, July 11) following a lineside fire at Stratford on Friday and other disruptions. The Elizabeth and Mildmay lines are experiencing severe delays, while the District, Jubilee, Piccadilly, Metropolitan, and Windrush lines have minor delays or closures.
Elizabeth and Mildmay lines worst affected
The Elizabeth line has no service between Whitechapel and Ilford, severe delays between Shenfield and Ilford, and minor delays between Abbey Wood and Heathrow/Reading. This is due to a lineside fire at Stratford on Friday and a late finish of engineering works at Tottenham Court Road.
The Mildmay line has no service between Willesden Junction and Clapham Junction, with severe delays on the rest of the line following the same lineside fire at Stratford.
Metropolitan and Piccadilly line closures
The Metropolitan line has no service this weekend between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Uxbridge. Replacement bus service ML1 operates between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Uxbridge via West Harrow (Treve Avenue), Rayners Lane, Eastcote, Ruislip Manor, Ruislip, West Ruislip (for Central line and Chiltern Railways), Ickenham and Hillingdon.
The Piccadilly line has no service between Hammersmith and Heathrow (all terminals) / Uxbridge from 12.45am on Saturday until the end of Sunday, July 12. Passengers are advised to use Heathrow Express and Elizabeth line for transfers between Heathrow terminals. Replacement bus services also operate.
Other lines with minor delays and closures
The Jubilee line has minor delays due to train cancellations. The Windrush line has no service between Wandsworth Road and Clapham Junction due to a points failure at Clapham Junction. The District line has no service between Turnham Green and Ealing Broadway on Saturday and Sunday. Replacement bus services PL3 and PL4 operate.
