British Transport Police (BTP) have released a CCTV image of a man they want to identify after a woman was upskirted on a London Underground train. The incident occurred at around 3.20pm on Saturday, June 20, on a Northern line service travelling through the Clapham Common area.
Details of the incident
The victim was travelling alone when a man positioned himself near her and appeared to take photographs up her skirt. Two fellow passengers alerted the woman, who moved away. The suspect left the train at Elephant and Castle station and has not been traced.
BTP said in a statement: "Officers believe the man in the image could have information that may assist their enquiries."
Description of the suspect
The man is described as a middle-aged White male, of slim build, with light stubble and wireframe glasses. He was wearing a blue Fat Face t-shirt, brown trousers, black trainers, and white wireless earphones. He also appeared to have keys and a fob on his waistband.
Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 475 of 20 June. Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Second appeal for Overground incident
In a separate appeal, BTP is seeking a man who was caught masturbating on a London Overground train. The perpetrator stared at a female passenger while touching himself on a late-night service.
