Metropolitan Line Attack: Police Hunt Gang After Elderly Man Threatened, Good Samaritan Slashed
Police hunt gang after Tube attack on Metropolitan Line

British Transport Police (BTP) have launched a public appeal following a violent robbery and assault on the London Underground's Metropolitan Line. Detectives have released images of several men they urgently wish to identify and speak to in connection with the incident.

Violent Confrontation on the Tube

The disturbing events unfolded just before 11pm on Monday, 29 December. According to police reports, a group of individuals travelling on a Metropolitan Line train began to threaten an elderly male passenger as the service approached Northwick Park Underground station in North London.

A second passenger, witnessing the intimidation, attempted to intervene and help the older man. In a shocking escalation, the group then turned on this Good Samaritan. They attacked him, slashing his face with a knife. The assault left the victim with a significant cut above his eyebrow.
