British Transport Police (BTP) have launched an investigation into a man who sexually assaulted two women on the London Underground's Northern line just days apart. The incidents occurred on August 1 and August 3, 2026, and police have released CCTV images of a man they believe may hold key information.
First assault at Waterloo station
The first assault took place on the Northern line at Waterloo station at approximately 8:40pm on August 1. According to BTP, when the victim turned to face the male passenger, she saw that he had exposed himself. The suspect then left the train and boarded another service heading northbound.
Second assault near Euston station
The same man also sexually assaulted another woman on the Northern line near Euston station at around 8pm on August 3. BTP stated that the suspect has not yet been identified, and investigators are appealing for public assistance to identify him.
BTP released CCTV footage of the man, stating: "Officers believe the man in the images could have information that may assist their enquiries." The images show an older White man of average build, with short, curly white hair and a balding patch on the top of the head. He is wearing black glasses, a blue short-sleeved shirt, and black trousers.

Anyone who recognises the man is urged to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 716 of 1 August. Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
In a separate incident in London, police have also issued a CCTV appeal after a woman was upskirted at a Tube station in Newham. A man reportedly pointed his phone up at a woman using the escalator at West Ham station during rush hour on July 24. BTP continues to investigate both cases.
