British Transport Police (BTP) have released an image of a man they wish to identify following a sexual assault on a Northern Line train. The incident occurred on Thursday, April 23, around 5:30 pm, as the victim boarded the train at Tufnell Park Underground station.

Details of the assault

The woman was sexually assaulted by a man as he alighted from the train. Detectives believe the man pictured may have crucial information to assist their investigation. The suspect is described as Caucasian, with dark hair and a beard. In the released image, he is wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.

Appeal for information

BTP are urging anyone who recognises the man to come forward. In a statement, a BTP spokesperson said: "Detectives investigating a sexual assault on board a Northern Line Underground train towards Tufnell Park are today releasing this image in connection. Detectives would like to speak to the man pictured, as they believe he may have information that could help their investigation."
