Northern Line Night Tube Hit by Weekend Closures: TfL Details
Northern Line & Night Tube closures this weekend

Londoners planning weekend journeys are being urged to check their routes as Transport for London (TfL) confirms a series of planned closures across the Underground network. The disruptions will partially affect the Northern, Metropolitan, and Piccadilly lines over Saturday and Sunday.

Northern Line and Night Tube Services Disrupted

The most significant impact will be felt on the Northern line. There will be no Night Tube service in the early hours of both Saturday, December 6, and Sunday, December 7, between 1.45am and 5.30am on the Charing Cross to Golders Green and High Barnet branches.

Furthermore, after 5.30am on both days, a daytime closure will be in place. There will be no service between Archway and High Barnet or Mill Hill East. Passengers are advised to use the replacement bus service, NL3, which will operate for the duration of the closure.

Further Line Closures Across the Network

The planned engineering works extend beyond the Northern line. On the Metropolitan line, there will be no service between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Uxbridge throughout the weekend. The ML1 replacement bus will run instead.

Similarly, the Piccadilly line will see no trains running between Acton Town and Uxbridge on Saturday and Sunday. Travelers should use replacement bus services ML1 and PL4.

As is standard for weekends, the entire Waterloo & City line will be closed, as it operates Monday to Friday only.

Advice for London Travellers

While TfL expects good service on the majority of the network, these specific part-closures are likely to cause inconvenience. A TfL spokesperson has reiterated the importance of planning ahead, stating: "We ask Londoners to check before they travel across the network."
