Tragic Motorbike Crash Claims Life of 15-Year-Old Girl in Buckinghamshire
A devastating multi-vehicle collision on a Buckinghamshire road has resulted in the death of a 15-year-old girl, with three teenagers now in police custody following the incident.
Details of the Fatal Collision
Emergency services were called to the A355 at approximately 9:20 PM yesterday evening following reports of a serious crash. Upon arrival, they discovered three vehicles had collided across all lanes: a white Toyota Yaris, a grey Toyota Hilux, and a motorbike carrying two teenagers.
The 15-year-old girl, who was a passenger on the motorbike, was pronounced dead at the scene. Thames Valley Police confirmed her next of kin have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained officers.
Arrests and Police Investigation
The rider of the motorbike, a 16-year-old boy from Beaconsfield, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Additionally, two other teenagers - a 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl from High Wycombe - who were riding another motorbike nearby at the time of the crash have also been arrested on the same charge. All three remain in police custody as investigations continue.
The collision occurred on Amersham Road, just yards from the railway bridge at the junction with an unnamed residential road, according to information obtained by Metro.
Police Referral to Independent Watchdog
Thames Valley Police has made a referral to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) regarding the incident. This standard procedure was initiated because a police vehicle was driving in the opposite direction nearby without blue lights activated when the crash occurred. The force stated it cannot comment further until the IOPC completes its assessment.
Appeal for Witnesses and Dash-Cam Footage
Lead investigating officer DS Oliver Cahill-Smith of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit expressed his sincere condolences to the family of the deceased girl and appealed for public assistance with the investigation.
'I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to please get in touch,' said DS Cahill-Smith. 'I would also like to ask anyone who was driving in the area prior to the collision to review their dash-cam footage, as it may contain information that could assist our investigation.'

Jackson Ng, a Beaconsfield Town and Buckinghamshire Councillor, described the news as 'desperately sad' and extended his thoughts to the family and loved ones of the deceased girl.
'This is not a one-off,' Councillor Ng emphasized. 'The roads around Beaconsfield have claimed lives. We have a pattern that demands a response - not platitudes, but serious, sustained action from those responsible for our roads.'
The councillor revealed he would be pressing Buckinghamshire Council and National Highways to urgently review safety provisions on local routes, stating: 'Bereaved families deserve more than condolences from their elected representatives - they deserve to know that their loss will lead to change. I intend to make sure it does.'
