Good Samaritan Racially Abused After Man Attacked on London Overground
Passenger Attacked with Phone on London Overground

An Overground passenger was struck in the head with a mobile phone during a heated argument in South London. The assault occurred on the Windrush line between Surrey Quays and Queens Road Peckham at approximately 8:45 PM on March 18.

Attack Details

A man began arguing with the victim before repeatedly hitting him around the head in front of shocked onlookers. One woman who attempted to intervene was racially abused by a second perpetrator.

Suspects Still at Large

Both men left the train at Queens Road Peckham and remain untraced more than two months later. The British Transport Police (BTP) has launched a CCTV appeal to assist with ongoing enquiries.

A BTP statement reads: "Officers would like to speak to the men pictured, as they believe they may have information that could help their investigation."

Suspect Descriptions

  • Suspect 1: Bald White man, average build, wearing a dark-colored hoodie and Adidas joggers.
  • Suspect 2: White man, average build, wearing a red baseball cap, a black parka, dark-colored skinny jeans, and brown trainers.
