Transport for London (TfL) services will face significant disruption this weekend, September 12-13 2026, with closures affecting the Circle, District, and Suffragette lines, alongside limited services on the Mildmay and Windrush lines. Commuters and visitors heading to events such as the Bayeux Tapestry exhibition, Open House Festival, or London Podcast Fest are advised to plan ahead.
Major Line Closures: Circle, District, and Suffragette
On both Saturday September 12 and Sunday September 13, the Circle line will have no trains running between Edgware Road and Aldgate via Victoria. The District line will also see no service between Tower Hill or Edgware Road and Ealing Broadway, Kensington (Olympia), Richmond, or Wimbledon on both days.
The Suffragette line (Overground) will have no service at all on Sunday September 13. Passengers on the Mildmay line will face no trains between Willesden Junction and Richmond on the same day, while the Windrush line will have no trains between Wandsworth Road and Clapham Junction until 9am on Sunday.
Station Closures and Service Changes
Marble Arch station on the Central line will be closed all weekend, starting from 12.30am on Saturday and continuing until Monday, including during Night Tube hours. Westbound Piccadilly line trains will not call at Barons Court until the end of the year, with passengers advised to travel one stop east to Earl's Court and change trains for westbound services.
On the District line, westbound trains will also skip Barons Court until late 2026. Affected passengers should go one stop east to West Kensington and change trains for westbound services. The Waterloo and City line remains closed on weekends and bank holidays, as is standard practice.
Alternative Travel Advice and Event Impact
With major closures on three lines, passengers are encouraged to use alternative routes or allow extra travel time. Those attending the Bayeux Tapestry display, Open House Festival, or London Podcast Fest should check TfL service updates before departing.
The disruption affects both Saturday and Sunday for the Circle and District lines, while Overground users face a particularly challenging Sunday. Travelers heading to Richmond or Wimbledon via District line services will need to seek alternative connections, as will those relying on the Suffragette line for any journey on September 13.
