Police have launched a murder investigation after a man was fatally stabbed in Crystal Palace. Officers were called to Westow Hill at 3:39 a.m. on Sunday, June 21, by the London Ambulance Service following reports of a stabbing.
Victim pronounced dead at scene
Officers found a man in his 30s with stab wounds. Despite the efforts of police and paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another man in his 30s was treated at the scene and taken to hospital with injuries described as neither life-threatening nor life-changing. He has since been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Police appeal for information
Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Lee, leading the investigation, said: “Our officers responded quickly alongside the London Ambulance Service who did everything possible to help the victim. This is a fast-moving investigation and residents in Crystal Palace will continue to notice an extensive police presence today as our enquiries continue. There are a number of scenes in place, and I encourage anyone who may have information or concerns to contact us.”
