RFK Jr Wrestles Snakes, Gets Bitten in Florida Video

Robert F Kennedy Jr, the US health secretary, on Tuesday added to his catalog of bizarre wild animal encounters by posting a video of himself wrestling two snakes in Florida. The footage, shared on social media, shows Kennedy grabbing the pair of serpents with his bare hands on the patio of Dr Mehmet Oz's Palm Beach mansion.

In the 49-second clip, Kennedy is seen handling the snakes while his wife, Cheryl Hines, urges caution. He recoils as one snake rears up and appears to bite his hand. The post states: "Cheryl cheerleads the removal of a pair of Black Racers from Dr Oz's patio." Southern black racers are non-venomous and harmless to humans, known for their speed and agility.

Previous Animal Encounters

Kennedy has a history of unusual wildlife incidents. In 2014, he admitted to dumping a dead bear cub in New York's Central Park after finding it on a road trip. He planned to skin and eat it but ran out of time. More recently, a biography revealed he cut the penis off a road-killed raccoon in 2001. He also allegedly severed the head of a whale with a chainsaw and drove home with it strapped to his car roof.

Other claims include part of his brain being eaten by a worm and enjoying barbecued dog. The Department of Health and Human Services did not comment, but a source said Kennedy was "doing just fine."
