World-famous sushi chef Endo Kazutoshi is opening a new omakase restaurant in Chelsea, following the closure of his previous venue, Endo at the Rotunda, after a fire last year. The new restaurant will launch in October 2026 at 8-9 Blacklands Terrace, Chelsea, SW3 2SP, the former home of Michelin-starred restaurant The Five Fields.
A 10-seat omakase experience
The new restaurant will be a tiny, 10-seat omakase venue with no menu. Guests will dine at the chef's whim as he prepares sushi on a 200-year-old hinoki counter from Kyoto. Above the restaurant, a listening bar called Moga will serve a cocktail menu inspired by teas, initially open only to diners but accessible to the public from December 2026.
Endo's vision for the next chapter
Speaking about the launch, Endo said: 'This project is the next chapter of my journey, strengthened by a clear vision and grounded more profoundly in the past. Behind every piece of sushi is the work of many hands - those who catch fish, grow the rice, and create the objects to serve it. This is a story I wish to tell. Like Kintsugi, the scars of last year have become part of my history; they have made me return more deeply to my roots.'
Endo at the Rotunda remains closed
Endo at the Rotunda in White City remains closed with no relaunch date announced. Recently, Endo hosted a pop-up at Mayfair bar Annabel's, which concluded earlier this month. The new Chelsea restaurant and Moga listening bar are set to open in October 2026.
