Sharon Osbourne has emotionally revealed how a surprise voice message from former US President Donald Trump left her in tears following the death of her legendary husband Ozzy Osbourne.
An Unexpected Tribute
In her first podcast recording with children Jack and Kelly in over a year, the 73-year-old television personality shared the moving moment she received Trump's personal tribute to the Black Sabbath frontman. Ozzy Osbourne died at age 76 on July 22, just weeks after performing his final show with the band in his hometown of Birmingham.
Sharon confessed that despite support from millions of fans worldwide, she is 'not ok' following the loss of her husband of four decades. The family's emotional reunion on their podcast The Osbournes marked their first collective recording since the music icon's passing.
The Emotional Voicemail
During the poignant podcast episode, Sharon played Trump's heartfelt message for listeners. The former president, 79, could be heard saying: 'Hi, Sharon – it's Donald Trump, and I just wanted to wish you the best and the family.'
He continued his tribute to the rock legend: 'Ozzy was amazing – he was an amazing guy. I met him a few times and I wanna tell you he was unique in every way and talented. So I just wanted to wish you the best and it's a tough thing, I know how close you were, and whatever I can do – take care of yourself, say hello to the family.'
Rising Above Politics
Despite their political differences, Sharon didn't hesitate to address the unexpected gesture from the controversial former leader. 'When it comes to politics, we know nobody comes out a winner,' she stated candidly.
The Osbourne matriarch reflected on her professional history with Trump, having worked with him 'for a month' on Celebrity Apprentice in 2010. She emphasised that both Donald and Melania Trump had always treated her family with respect, noting 'he wanted nothing from us – nothing.'
Sharon particularly praised Melania, 55, describing her as 'always gracious, elegant, just a delight to talk to.'
Son Jack Osbourne, who will soon appear on this year's I'm A Celebrity, added his perspective: 'Love him or hate him, he didn't have to call and leave a voicemail.'
The emotional podcast also revealed how daughter Kelly struggles with mornings when she 'briefly forgets' that her father is gone, highlighting the ongoing grief process for the entire family.
