Lily Allen Steps Out for First Potential Date Since Divorce Album Release

Singer Lily Allen has been photographed enjoying an intimate dinner with a mystery man in West London, marking what appears to be her first date since the release of her deeply personal album West End Girl. The 40-year-old artist, who confirmed her single status following her divorce from Stranger Things star David Harbour, was spotted at the Michelin-starred restaurant Dorian for a two-hour meal that has sparked dating rumours.

An Intimate Evening at Michelin-Starred Dorian

The low-key but significant evening took place in November 2025, with Allen and her companion spending considerable time together at the exclusive establishment. Sources suggest the mystery man could be writer Jonah Freud, who comes from notable lineage as the grandson of media mogul Rupert Murdoch and great-nephew of celebrated artist Lucian Freud.

What made the encounter particularly noteworthy was the pair's decision to leave the restaurant separately, maintaining discretion after their lengthy dinner. This sighting represents the first time Allen has been seen in what could be a dating scenario since she released her album in October 2025, which detailed the painful collapse of her marriage to Harbour.

From Festival Outing to Fine Dining

This isn't the first time Allen has been linked to someone since her separation. Back in June, she was spotted at London's Lido Festival with James Norton, the Happy Valley actor currently favoured to become the next James Bond. Body language expert Judi James analysed their interaction at the time, suggesting it had the hallmarks of a first date.

"The body language here does suggest this is a date, but it looks very much like a first date when two people are maybe still just claiming to be friends," James told Metro. She noted "mutually polite smiling" and "coy-looking smiles" that suggested early dating behaviour rather than established romance.

A source had previously told The Sun that Allen and Norton were "together for the day and were chatting and laughing together as they watched Charli XCX" perform at the festival.

West End Girl: The Album That Revealed All

Allen's recent musical output has been impossible to separate from her personal life. West End Girl serves as a raw exploration of her marriage breakdown, with particularly scathing revelations about the couple's open relationship arrangements that went awry.

The album explicitly describes how Harbour "broke the rules" of their arrangement, with Allen singing lyrics that outline their understanding: "be discreet and don't be blatant / it had to be with strangers / there had to be payment."

Perhaps most dramatically, the album identifies costume designer Natalie Tippet as "Madeline," the woman Harbour became involved with. Allen also reveals discovering a "shoebox full of handwritten letters from brokenhearted women" at Harbour's New York apartment, which she nicknames "Pussy Palace" in her songs.

The singer further describes finding a bag containing "sex toys, butt plugs, and lube inside" while criticising what she characterises as Harbour's "double life." These revelations have made West End Girl one of the most talked-about musical releases of the year.

As Allen potentially steps back into the dating world, representatives for the singer have been approached for comment regarding her dinner companion and current relationship status. For now, fans and observers alike will be watching closely to see if this West London dinner marks the beginning of a new chapter for the celebrated artist.
