Irish pop legends Boyzone are set to perform their final ever concerts next year, with frontman Ronan Keating declaring the upcoming shows will write the group's "final chapter".
The Last Goodbye: Two Final Shows Announced
In a surprise announcement, the band has extended their farewell tour eight years after it began, scheduling two additional concerts at Arsenal FC's Emirates Stadium on June 5 and June 6, 2026. Tickets, priced between £60 and £150, are reportedly selling quickly. Ronan Keating has stated unequivocally that these will be the iconic group's last public performances, bringing their total number of farewell concerts to three.
The vocal group, originally formed in 1993, first called time with their Thank You & Good Night Tour in 2019, which was widely believed to be their finale. However, the success of their 2025 documentary, No Matter What, appears to have inspired this ultimate encore.
'A Blanket No' to Future Tours
Speaking to Vernon Kay on BBC Radio 2, Keating was adamant that this reunion is strictly a one-off. "It's a farewell tour. There's no new music. We're not getting the band back together again. We're not touring across the world," the 48-year-old singer declared.
He revealed that despite numerous offers to perform in Asia and Europe, the answer from the band is a "blanket no". Keating explained that committing to more would be "incredibly unhealthy for us" and would force them to take "a massive step backwards" in their personal lives and individual careers.
"We all have our own lives and careers away from the band, but we can come back for that week," Keating said, promising a spectacular send-off. "We'll put on all the fireworks and make it magic." He acknowledged the emotional weight of the occasion, predicting "tears" but pledging to "go out on a high".
A Band Forged in the 90s, Remembering Stephen Gately
Boyzone, comprised of Ronan Keating, the late Stephen Gately, Michael Graham, Keith Duffy, and Shane Lynch, dominated the UK charts in the 1990s. They achieved five UK number one singles and four UK number one albums during their initial seven-year run before going on hiatus in 2000.
The band reformed in 2007, and their 2010 album Brother topped the UK charts following the tragic death of Stephen Gately in 2009 at age 33. Keating has previously stated that Gately's passing effectively ended the band for him, struggling to accept Boyzone as a four-piece. After their 2019 split, he referred to that tour as having written the "final chapter".
Now, with surviving members Keating, Graham, Duffy, and Lynch preparing for one last bow, that chapter is getting a definitive, emotionally-charged conclusion. For fans who grew up with their music, the 2026 Emirates Stadium dates represent a final, unmissable chance to say goodbye.
