Beatles Experience at 3 Savile Row Opening 2027

A new visitor experience dedicated to The Beatles is set to open in London at the historic site of their final performance. The location, 3 Savile Row, served as the headquarters of Apple Corps, the band's record label, and was the scene of their legendary rooftop concert on January 30, 1969. This spontaneous 42-minute show marked the last time John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr performed together.

The Beatles at 3 Savile Row

Apple Corps has re-acquired the seven-storey building, which has been largely empty in recent years, and plans to transform it into a monument to the band. The attraction, named 'The Beatles at 3 Savile Row', is scheduled to open in 2027. It will feature never-before-seen archival material, rotating exhibits, and a restoration of the original studio where the album 'Let It Be' was recorded. Visitors will also be able to relive the iconic rooftop concert on the exact spot where it happened, as captured in Peter Jackson's 2021 documentary 'Get Back'.

Memories from the Band

Sir Paul McCartney expressed his excitement about the venture, stating: 'It was such a trip to get back to 3 Savile Row recently and have a look around. There are so many special memories within the walls, not to mention the rooftop. The team have put together some really impressive plans and I’m excited for people to see it when it’s ready.' Sir Ringo Starr added: 'Wow, it’s like coming home.'

A Historic Venue

3 Savile Row is a landmark for Beatles fans, as it was the headquarters of Apple Corps and the site of the band's final album recording. The rooftop concert, which took place amid rising tensions within the group, has become one of the most iconic moments in music history. The building's railings remain unchanged from that famous day in 1969, adding to the authenticity of the experience.

Tom Greene, CEO of Apple Corps, said: 'We’re thrilled to bring Apple Corps back to its spiritual home and give The Beatles fans something truly special. Every single day, fans are taking pictures of the outside of 3 Savile Row – but next year they can go in and explore all seven floors of the iconic building, including the rooftop.'

The Beatles' Legacy

The Beatles led the British Invasion of music in the 1960s, releasing 12 albums during their seven-year career, including classics such as 'Rubber Soul' (1965), 'Revolver' (1966), 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' (1967), and 'Abbey Road' (1969). Their influence on popular music is immeasurable, and the new experience will allow fans to revisit the spot where their journey as a foursome came to an end.

'The Beatles at 3 Savile Row' is set to open in 2027, with a second experience also in development. Fans can look forward to exploring all seven floors of the building and immersing themselves in the history of the world's most famous band.
