Correction: Robin Species Misidentification

Due to an error introduced during the editing process, an article about bird sounds incorrectly described the robin as a species of thrush. While the American robin (Turdus migratorius) is indeed a thrush, the robin found in Britain is the European robin (Erithacus rubecula), which belongs to the Muscicapidae family, also known as the Old World flycatchers. This error appeared in the print edition of the article titled “Owl’s that! New research tunes into the hidden world of female birdsong” published on 18 April, page 5.
