In a dramatic exit from the hit BBC reality show, banished contestant Dr Ellie Buckley has shared her insider predictions for the final episodes of The Traitors UK season four, forecasting a win for the remaining deceitful duo.
Ellie's Final Prediction: A Traitors Triumph
Speaking to Metro after her emotional banishment on Friday night's episode, Ellie, a psychologist, stated she believes the game will end with a Traitors victory. 'I think it’s going to be a Traitors victory. Rachel is an incredibly strong player, but Stephen also – now, Jessie has been murdered – I don’t think anyone else is really going to go for him. I think he might have got away with that one,' she observed.
The latest episode, broadcast on January 17, 2026, saw fan-favourite Faithful Jessie murdered, followed by Ellie's own banishment at a tearful roundtable. Her departure was punctuated by the final revelation that fellow contestant Ross had been her secret boyfriend throughout the competition.
This leaves the final eight contestants in the castle: Traitors Rachel and Stephen versus Faithfuls Matthew, Faraaz, Jade, Jack, Roxy and James.
Bad News for Wannabe Traitor Matthew
Ellie also cast doubt on Faithful Matthew's hopes of being recruited into the treacherous ranks. Matthew had previously attempted to strike a deal with the Traitors in the confessional box, but Ellie is sceptical of his chances.
'I think they got their hands burnt when Fiona came into the turret, and I don’t think they’re going to risk another Traitor entering the polls,' she said immediately. If her assessment is correct, Matthew faces a disappointing wait during Wednesday night's episode, expecting a call to the turret that may never come.
Juggling Secrets and a 'Bland' Strategy
Reflecting on her own game, Ellie discussed the immense difficulty of concealing her relationship with Ross, especially after other contestants Netty and Ross met on the driveway. 'Immediately all eyes were on him,' she added. After a series of unfortunate events raised suspicions around Ross, Ellie admits she was subtly 'trying to sway the conversation away from him.'
She expressed gratitude to the murdered Faithful Jessie for 'fighting his corner' when she felt she couldn't risk her cover. The couple's connection was eventually uncovered by viewers online, who dug up old social media posts—a level of sleuthing that took Ellie by 'surprise' and which Ross has labelled 'disgustingly invasive.'
Ellie's secret-keeping and low-profile strategy led to her being voted the 'most bland' contestant, a title she took in her stride. She defends the approach, agreeing that for a Faithful, survival is key. 'Your job is also to survive, and so you have to be careful about how outspoken you are in the game, because you’ll get banished or murdered if you are too vocal, too quickly,' she reflected.
The Traitors returns to BBC One at 8pm on Wednesday, with fans eagerly awaiting to see if Ellie's predictions of a Traitors' triumph come true.
