The German Christmas Mini Market in Guildford, Surrey, has announced its 2026 opening date while still in July. The free-entry event will take place on Sunday, November 29, from 11am to 3pm at The Guildhall on Guildford High Street.
Festive offerings and community spirit
Visitors can enjoy traditional Glühwein, German bakery favourites, a Tombola, and a selection of Christmas gifts, toys, and books. The market is organised annually by the Guildford Twinning Association to celebrate ties with Freiburg im Breisgau.
Barbara Ford, chair of the Guildford Twinning Association, said: “Now in its 21st year, the German Christmas Mini Market is a much-loved tradition made possible by dedicated volunteers. Every penny raised helps support cultural, sporting and educational exchanges between Guildford and Freiburg, as well as free public events that build understanding and celebrate our friendship.”

Guildford is just 32 minutes from London Waterloo by South Western Railway, or a straightforward drive via the M25 and A3 from South and West London.
