The slow-burning hit Australian drama Mystery Road: Origin makes its highly anticipated return to BBC Two this evening for a second series. The prequel to the popular Mystery Road franchise continues to chart the early career of Indigenous police officer Jay Swan.
What's on TV Tonight: Drama and Deception
At 9pm on BBC Two, viewers can dive back into the dusty, tense world of Mystery Road: Origin. The new season, now set in the year 2000, sees Jay Swan, played by Mark Coles Smith, relocate to the remote lumber town of Loch Iris with his partner Mary, portrayed by Tuuli Narkle. The town remains haunted by its past, and Jay soon finds himself at odds with the cynical local sergeant, Paula "Simmo" Simmons, played by new cast addition Robyn Malcolm.
Earlier in the evening, the celebrity fibbing continues on BBC One at 7.30pm with Would I Lie to You?. The panel, featuring Dianne Buswell, Jamelia, and Bob Mortimer, will attempt to convince captains Lee Mack and David Mitchell of some outlandish tales.
