Dave's Hot Chicken Opens Third London Site in Croydon This December
Dave's Hot Chicken to open new Croydon restaurant

The Drake-backed fast food sensation, Dave's Hot Chicken, is set to spice up south London with a brand new outlet. The chain, which has taken the UK by storm since its debut just a year ago, will open its doors in Croydon this December, marking its sixth UK site and third in the capital.

A Sizzling UK Expansion

Dave's Hot Chicken has experienced a remarkable first year on British soil. Its first UK restaurant launched in December 2024, attracting queues that snaked around the block. In the following twelve months, the brand rapidly expanded, opening locations in Birmingham, Manchester, Stevenage, and Leicester, as well as a second London spot in Westfield White City. Ambitious plans have been revealed to introduce nearly 60 more restaurants across the country.

Croydon Gets a Taste of the Heat

The latest addition to the portfolio will be at 7-11 High Street in Croydon, with an opening date set for 16 December 2025. Operating hours will be from 11am to 10pm Monday to Thursday and on Sundays, extending to 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Jim Attwood, Managing Director of Dave's Hot Chicken UK, expressed his enthusiasm for the move, stating the brand is excited to bring its signature spicy chicken to the borough.

"This dynamic borough, known for its fried chicken shops, has a vibrant food culture and an energy that fits Dave’s attitude like a glove," Attwood told the Metro. "This launch isn’t just an expansion, it’s us bringing big flavour to one of London’s most iconic communities."

What's All the Fuss About?

The chain's popularity isn't just hype. Time Out's Food Editor, Leonie Cooper, visited earlier this year to sample the menu. Her verdict praised the chicken for being "really very good, with a crunchy, quality batter and soft, well-cooked meat", noting it was notably juicier than offerings from other high street competitors.

With its successful blend of social media virality, celebrity backing, and critically acclaimed food, Dave's Hot Chicken's arrival in Croydon is poised to be a major event for local foodies. It represents a significant step in the brand's aggressive UK growth strategy, directly challenging the established fried chicken scene in one of London's most bustling boroughs.
