Adult film star Bonnie Blue has been arrested on the Indonesian island of Bali, with her distinctive 'Bangbus' vehicle confiscated by authorities. The arrest occurred during the popular 'Schoolies week' period, a time when many Australian school leavers travel to the holiday destination.
Details of the Bali Arrest and Raid
The performer, whose real name is Tia Billinger, was questioned by immigration officers alongside a group of Australian teenage boys and men. The police action followed a tip-off from a member of the public, leading to a raid on her accommodation. During the search, officers discovered a significant haul of items linked to her work.
The seized materials included 19 outfits labelled 'School Bonnie Blue', a box of condoms, lubricant, nine pink necklaces, several flash drives, and two sheets of Viagra pills, some of which had been used. The most notable item taken was her custom 'Bangbus' truck, which local police confirmed was not legally registered for use in Indonesia.
Strict Indonesian Laws and Ongoing Investigation
Indonesia enforces stringent morality laws, under which pornography is completely banned. Those found violating these rules face the serious prospect of a jail sentence. Badung Police Chief Arif Batubara stated that the individuals had been handed over to Immigration authorities for further investigation into alleged breaches of immigration law.
While Blue's passport has been seized, she has been permitted to return to her hotel. She remains under active investigation along with three male members of her team. Police emphasised that their investigation is ongoing and is being conducted jointly with immigration officials. No formal charges have been filed at this stage.
In a related development, 14 of the Australian boys and men who were initially detained have been released without charge.
Previous Controversies Involving Bonnie Blue
This incident is not the first legal trouble for the adult star. Just last year, she was banned from entering Australia after plans emerged that she intended to create explicit content with newly-18-year-olds in the country.
Meanwhile, in the UK, Blue was reportedly assaulted at a nightclub during one of her student-oriented events. The incident took place at Sheffield's Onyx nightclub as part of her 'barely legal' university tour. Witnesses described a woman queuing to meet her before turning and punching Blue squarely in the jaw.
The situation in Bali remains fluid, with authorities continuing to examine the evidence. The case highlights the severe risks of falling foul of local laws in destinations popular with British and Australian tourists.
