RavenPack, a leading provider of big data analytics for financial services, has secured $10 million in funding to tokenise AI-generated content on its BigDataCom platform. The investment, announced on March 27, 2025, aims to transform how data is monetised and protected using blockchain technology.
Funding Details and Platform Expansion
The funding round was led by venture capital firm Digital Asset Ventures, with participation from existing investors. RavenPack plans to use the capital to develop tokenisation features that allow content creators to register AI-generated data as unique digital assets on the blockchain. This will enable transparent licensing, royalty distribution, and copyright enforcement.
According to RavenPack CEO Armando Gonzalez, “Tokenisation empowers creators to maintain control over their AI-generated content while unlocking new revenue streams through decentralised marketplaces.” The company expects the first tokenised datasets to be available on BigDataCom by Q3 2025.
Impact on AI Content Monetisation
Tokenisation addresses a critical challenge in the AI industry: proving ownership and preventing unauthorised use of machine-generated content. By embedding metadata into blockchain tokens, RavenPack ensures that every piece of data is traceable and attributable. This is particularly relevant for financial datasets, where accuracy and provenance are paramount.
BigDataCom currently hosts over 10,000 datasets from more than 500 providers, serving clients in finance, healthcare, and technology. The new tokenisation layer will allow providers to set usage terms and receive automatic payments via smart contracts. RavenPack estimates that the feature could increase data licensing revenue by 30% for early adopters.
Industry Context and Future Plans
The move comes amid growing demand for secure AI data markets. A 2024 report by Gartner projected that by 2027, 40% of large organisations will use tokenised data for AI training. RavenPack’s initiative positions it at the forefront of this trend.
Gonzalez added, “We are building the infrastructure for a fair and efficient data economy. Tokenisation not only protects creators but also fosters innovation by making high-quality data more accessible.” The company plans to expand its tokenisation capabilities to include non-financial datasets later this year.
