All Bar One's Festive Cocktails & Food Review: A Mallow & Marsh Christmas
All Bar One's Festive Cocktails & Food Review

All Bar One has launched a decadent festive menu for 2025, featuring a special collaboration with Absolut Vodka and gourmet treat maker Mallow & Marsh. The nationwide chain is offering a range of limited-edition cocktails and seasonal dishes to get customers into the Christmas spirit.

First Impressions and Festive Cocktails

We visited the Leopold Street branch in Sheffield city centre on a festive Sunday afternoon to sample the new offerings. The venue was suitably decorated, complete with a large Christmas tree, setting the perfect scene.

We began with two of the special collaboration cocktails. The Snowdrift Mallow Latte (£12.50) combines Havana Club 7YO rum, Kahlúa, oat milk, and cold brew coffee, served with gold-skewered milk chocolate-covered vanilla mallows. It was a creamy, rich drink with a welcome coffee punch, though best drunk quickly to prevent separation.

The standout was the Winter Mallow Margarita, a stunning blend of Olmeca Altos Plata tequila, winterberry syrup, and Maraschino cherries, finished with a chocolatey mallow. It was fruity, refreshing, and perfectly balanced, earning our top cocktail recommendation.

Small Plates and Festive Mains

To start, we ordered from the small plates menu. The sesame seed-dappled karaage sticky chicken was flavourful, crispy, and tender, complemented by fresh spring onions and a chipotle jam. The salt & pepper calamari was a generous portion with a light, crispy batter and a sweet chilli dip, though we wished for more of the dip.

For mains, we tried both festive burgers. The Camembert & Chorizo Festive Burger featured a beef patty with melted camembert, chorizo, and cranberry jam, served with sage & sea salt skin-on fries and a pig in blanket. It was a juicy, savoury-sweet combination, though the chorizo was subtle.

The clear winner was the Chicken and Hot Honey Festive Burger. Crispy buttermilk chicken was topped with grilled halloumi, bacon, and hot honey in a toasted brioche bun. It was an undeniably delicious and tender creation we would order again.

We also opted for a trio of fries featuring truffle oil & Gran Moravia, chipotle sweet potato, and chorizo-cranberry jam varieties. While delicious, it was overwhelmingly filling.

Final Cocktails and Verdict

To finish, we tried the Berry Mallow Sour, a zingy mix of Absolut Citron and Raspberri vodkas with a sour mix and raspberry syrup, topped with dark chocolate-covered raspberry mallows. It was a refreshing palate-cleanser.

Overall, the festive offering at All Bar One provides a delicious and indulgent experience. The Mallow & Marsh and Absolut collaboration successfully adds a fun, decadent twist to the cocktail list. Our top tip: skip the extra fries to save room for more cocktails or the churros we didn't get to try.

The festive cocktails and menu are available at all All Bar One venues across the UK, with cocktails starting from £12.50. The festive menu and buffet options are available for those planning Christmas parties.
