British Transport Police (BTP) have launched a public appeal to trace a man after a teenage girl was sexually assaulted on a train bound for Wrexham.
Details of the Assault
The incident occurred at approximately 10.20am on Wednesday, 29 October 2025. The 16-year-old victim was seated by the window when an unknown man sat next to her and proceeded to sexually assault her.
During the assault, the man made a series of inappropriate comments towards the teenager. When the distressed girl asked to move seats, he merely shifted his bag, implying she would have to climb over him to get away, effectively trapping her in her seat.
Police Appeal for Information
The suspect eventually left the train. The brave victim reported the attack to staff at Wrexham railway station, who then alerted the authorities.
BTP investigators have now released a CCTV image of a man they urgently wish to speak to. They believe he may hold vital information that could assist their ongoing investigation into this serious sexual assault.
