Major TfL Network Closures Planned for February 2026 Across London
TfL Closures: Tube, Overground Disruptions in Feb 2026

Transport for London has confirmed a significant programme of maintenance works and service upgrades that will affect almost every part of the capital's transport network throughout February 2026. The extensive closures will impact multiple Underground lines, Overground services, the Elizabeth line, DLR and London Trams, with the majority of disruption scheduled for weekends and late-night operations.

Widespread Network Disruptions Announced

Passengers across London will need to plan alternative routes as TfL implements what represents one of the most comprehensive maintenance programmes in recent years. The coordinated works aim to deliver essential upgrades across the network, including a major station refurbishment project affecting Central line services in east London. Night Tube services will be particularly affected by timetable alterations, with some lines experiencing complete suspensions during weekend overnight operations.

Underground Line Closures

Seven Tube lines will face temporary closures throughout the month:

  • Bakerloo line: No service between Queen's Park and Harrow & Wealdstone from Saturday 28 February to Sunday 1 March
  • Central line: Multiple closures including no service from Bethnal Green to Epping on 1 February, and weekend suspensions between White City and Ealing Broadway/West Ruislip from 14-15 February
  • Circle line: No service from Edgware Road to Aldgate via Victoria from 28 February to 1 March
  • District line: Weekend closures affecting Turnham Green to Richmond (15 February) and Earl's Court to Whitechapel/Kensington (Olympia) from 28 February to 1 March
  • Jubilee line: Westminster station closure during Night Tube hours from 27-28 February
  • Metropolitan line: Four-day suspension between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Amersham/Chesham/Watford from 19-22 February
  • Northern line: Multiple disruptions including no service from Morden to Kennington (7-8 February) and station skips at West Finchley and Embankment

Overground Service Alterations

The newly renamed Overground lines will experience weekend disruptions across the network:

  • Lioness line: Closures between Euston and Kilburn High Road (14-15 February) and Euston to Watford Junction (28 February-1 March)
  • Mildmay line: Multiple suspensions between Camden Road and Richmond/Shepherd's Bush throughout February, with late-night closures affecting Stratford to Camden Road services
  • Weaver line: Disruptions on Liverpool Street to Enfield Town/Cheshunt/Chingford services, particularly during early morning and late evening periods
  • Windrush line: Various closures including Sydenham to Crystal Palace (1 February) and Surrey Quays to Clapham Junction (8 February)

Additional Network Impacts

The disruption extends beyond the core Underground and Overground networks:

  • DLR: Regular Sunday closures between Tower Gateway and Shadwell throughout February, plus weekend suspension from Bank/Tower Gateway to Poplar/West India Quay from 21-22 February
  • Elizabeth line: Multiple Sunday morning closures affecting Paddington to Ealing Broadway services, with additional disruptions at stations including Burnham, Taplow, Acton Main Line, Hanwell and West Acton
  • London Trams: Extended closure between East Croydon and Elmers End/Beckenham Junction/New Addington from 11-25 February

TfL is strongly encouraging all passengers to use their official journey planner tool to navigate the expected disruptions and identify alternative travel options. The transport authority has emphasised that these works form part of their ongoing commitment to maintaining and improving London's transport infrastructure, though acknowledges the significant inconvenience they will cause to daily commuters and weekend travellers alike.
