Southeastern Lewisham line closures: Sunday train changes
Southeastern Lewisham closures: Sunday train changes

Southeastern passengers face major changes on Sunday as engineering work closes railway lines around Lewisham, affecting services across south-east London. Several routes will be altered, with some trains cancelled, diverted, or skipping Lewisham.

Engineering work closes lines between Lewisham and Hither Green

Engineering work is taking place between Lewisham and Hither Green, closing all lines. This forces significant adjustments to train services throughout the day.

Trains between London Victoria and Dartford or Gravesend via Bexleyheath will not run. Additional trains will instead operate between London Charing Cross and Gravesend via Bexleyheath.

Victoria and Charing Cross services affected

Southeastern services between London Victoria and Dover Priory via Denmark Hill will run non-stop between London Victoria and Bromley South, not calling at any stations in between.

Hayes line trains between London Charing Cross and Hayes will not call at Lewisham. Similarly, services between London Charing Cross and Sevenoaks via Grove Park will also skip Lewisham.

Replacement buses and alternative routes

Trains between London Charing Cross and Dartford or Gravesend via Sidcup will not run. Additional services will instead operate between London Charing Cross and Gravesend via Bexleyheath.

Replacement buses will run between Lewisham and Dartford via Sidcup. Passengers can also use their tickets on London bus routes P4, 284, and 122 between Ladywell and Lewisham at no extra cost.

These changes apply only on Sunday, October 4, with normal services expected to resume the following day.
