The anniversary celebrations will feature a range of activities designed for different age groups. Sensory storytelling sessions for children aged five and under will take young visitors on a journey across the line's most famous landmarks, while older children can participate in 'design a station' arts and crafts workshops.
Hands-on activities and inclusive mornings
A 'fly the tube' tinkering activity invites families to create their own flying tube trains using various materials and test how long they can stay in the air. For families with children who have special educational needs or disabilities, an 'early explorer morning' will take place on October 28, allowing them to enjoy the museum without the usual crowds.
Children over the age of 10 can join the museum's Hidden London guided tours, including a special family edition of the tour of the disused Aldwych station. These family-focused tours will include child-friendly riddles, clues, quizzes, and team activities designed to unlock the station's different stories.
