Transport for London has warned that planned works will disrupt several lines across the network this weekend. The Piccadilly line will be shut between King's Cross St Pancras and Cockfosters on both Saturday and Sunday, affecting thousands of Tube journeys to northwest London. Night Tube services are also suspended on this section on Saturday, and between Hyde Park Corner and Cockfosters on Friday. Passengers are encouraged to use local bus routes and alternative Tube stations where possible.
Heathrow and other impacts
Late-night and early morning journeys to Heathrow Airport are also affected, with Elizabeth line trains stopping short in West London due to Network Rail maintenance. This is also halting Windrush line services through South London and delaying Weaver line departures at Liverpool Street.
District line
Until late 2026, westbound trains will not stop at Barons Court due to staircase and canopy improvement work.
Piccadilly line
Friday, July 17 to Saturday, July 18: No service from Hyde Park Corner to Cockfosters during Friday Night Tube due to track work. Sunday, July 19: No service from Sydenham to West Croydon due to Network Rail maintenance work. Sunday, July 19: No service from Surrey Quays to New Cross after 7.30pm due to Network Rail maintenance work.
