London Tube and Train Disruption August 22-23 2026: Full List

Transport for London (TfL) has announced significant disruption across multiple tube and train lines for the weekend of August 22-23 2026. The Circle, District, Metropolitan, Piccadilly and Hammersmith & City lines will all be affected by planned closures, according to a travel guide published by Time Out London on Friday 21 August 2026.

District Line Closures on Saturday and Sunday

On Saturday August 22, the District line will have no trains on the entire line until 10.30am. From 10.30am to 2pm, there will be no service between Edgware Road / Embankment and Ealing Broadway / Kensington (Olympia) / Richmond / Wimbledon. From 2pm, no service will run eastbound from Stamford Brook to Barons Court, and no service westbound from Earl's Court and Stamford Brook. Additionally, from 2pm, there will be no service between Earl's Court and Kensington (Olympia) and no service between Fulham Broadway and Wimbledon.

On Sunday August 23, all day, there will be no service eastbound from Stamford Brook to Barons Court, no service westbound from Earl's Court and Stamford Brook, no service between Earl's Court and Kensington (Olympia), and no service between Fulham Broadway and Wimbledon. Westbound trains will not call at Barons Court until November. Passengers travelling west are advised to go one stop east to West Kensington and then change trains for westbound services.

Circle and Hammersmith & City Line Disruption

On Saturday August 22, the Circle line will have no trains on the entire line until 10.30am. From 10.30am to 2pm, there will be no service between Edgware Road and Tower Hill. The Hammersmith & City line will also have no trains on the entire line until 10.30am on Saturday.

Metropolitan and Piccadilly Line Changes

On Saturday August 22, the Metropolitan line will have no trains between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Aldgate until 10.30am. The Piccadilly line will see no Night Tube trains on the entire line between 1.45am and 4.45am on Saturday. From 4.45am to 2pm, there will be no trains between Hyde Park Corner and Acton Town. Westbound trains will not call at Barons Court until November; passengers travelling west should go one stop east to Earl's Court and change trains for westbound services. Eastbound trains will not call at Caledonian Road all weekend.

Elizabeth Line, Mildmay Line and Windrush Line Services

On Sunday August 23, the Elizabeth line will have no trains between West Drayton and Maidenhead until 8am. The Mildmay line (Overground) will have no trains between Clapham Junction and Willesden Junction until 9.30am on Sunday, and no service between Camden Road and Stratford after 10.15pm. The Windrush line (Overground) will have no trains between New Cross Gate and Crystal Palace / West Croydon all day on Sunday, and no services between Highbury & Islington and Dalston Junction after 10.15pm. The Waterloo and City line remains closed on weekends and bank holidays, as always.
