Emmerdale: Charity Charged with Murder in Devastating New Spoilers
Emmerdale: Charity Charged with Murder in New Spoilers

Emmerdale fans face a double blow as new spoilers confirm Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) is charged with murder and placed on remand, but first, there's no episode on Tuesday, September 8, due to the National Television Awards. The ITV soap, alongside Coronation Street, is missing from the schedules as the NTAs air live in their usual slots. Emmerdale returns on Wednesday, September 9, at 8pm on ITV1 or streams from 7am on ITVX.

Charity's Legal Nightmare Escalates

In Wednesday's episode, Charity's situation takes a devastating turn. Having already taken the blame for granddaughter Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) accidentally killing Dr Todd, Charity faces deeper trouble with the law following DS Ramsden's (Chelsea Edge) inquiries. The situation escalates dramatically, leading to Charity being charged with murder, put behind bars, and placed on remand. Devastated, she realizes she is running out of options.

The question remains: what developments have occurred for the police to charge Charity? And how will she get out of this? Will killer Sarah speak up, or after everything that has transpired, will she refrain from helping out?

Nicola's Financial Shock

Elsewhere in the village, Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) is feeling anxious over rising funeral costs for Jimmy's service and seeks Jimmy's haulage shares. However, the cafe owner is left in shock when she discovers from Caleb (William Ash) that Jimmy secretly sold the shares in question for untaxed cash, but continued running the business to maintain appearances. With the cash from the sale missing, will Nicola uncover what is really going on? And will Sadie find out?

Sadie King (Patsy Kensit) had previously managed to get on Nicola's good side, but her claims that Jimmy had a secret relationship with her for three years might not be as accurate as she's making out.

Emmerdale airs these scenes Wednesday, September 9 at 8pm on ITV1 or streams from 7am on ITVX or YouTube.
