British Transport Police (BTP) have issued a CCTV appeal after a woman was upskirted on an escalator at West Ham Underground station in East London. The incident occurred during the morning rush hour, shortly before 8.30am on Friday, July 24, and the suspect boarded a Jubilee line train to Stratford afterwards.
The man was reportedly seen by a member of the public pointing his phone up at the woman while she was using the escalator. He has not yet been arrested, and police are now releasing an image of a man they believe may have information relevant to their enquiries.

In a statement released this afternoon, BTP said: "Officers believe the man in the image could have information that may assist their enquiries." The image shows a young man of slim build, with a dark-coloured moustache and a beard. He is wearing an Under Armour jacket over a grey top, grey workwear trousers, a black cap, and white wireless earphones.
The force is asking anyone who recognises the man to contact them. Information can be provided by texting BTP on 61016, or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 137 of 24 July. Alternatively, people can pass on information anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

The incident took place at West Ham station, a busy interchange in East London, during the morning peak. The victim was using the escalator when the man allegedly aimed his phone at her. The suspect then travelled on a Jubilee line train towards Stratford, where he is believed to have left the network.
