British Transport Police (BTP) have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to after a woman was sexually assaulted on a busy Elizabeth line train in central London. The incident occurred at around 7:30pm on Sunday, April 19, when the train was travelling between Tottenham Court Road and Bond Street.
What happened on the Elizabeth line
According to BTP, the man boarded the service at Tottenham Court Road. Once the train arrived at Bond Street, he allegedly sexually assaulted the woman, attempting to disguise his actions within the crowd. He then continued his journey and got off the train at Ealing Broadway.
Police have released images of the man they believe may have information that could help their investigation. He is described as wearing a black Under Armour cap and shirt, and has a moustache and goatee, along with a tattoo on his left forearm.
Police appeal for information
A British Transport Police spokesperson said: "Detectives continuing to investigate a sexual assault on board an Elizabeth Line train are today releasing new images in connection. At around 7.30pm on Sunday April 19, a man boarded an Elizabeth Line train at Tottenham Court Road."
The spokesperson added: "Once the train arrived at Bond Street, he sexually assaulted a woman, attempting to disguise his actions within the crowd. He then got off the train at Ealing Broadway."
