British Transport Police (BTP) have released images of two women they want to speak to after a victim was assaulted at Liverpool Street Underground station on Friday, July 3.
Attack at ticket barriers
The incident occurred at around 11.30pm when the victim was at the ticket barriers. According to police, she accidentally brushed against a member of the women's group while walking past, prompting the two suspects to strike her. The victim suffered a black eye, scratches and had hair pulled from the back of her head.
One suspect is described as White, with mid-length blonde hair, wearing a white vest top. The other is also White, with shorter blonde hair, wearing a green crop top.
Police appeal for information
A BTP spokesperson said: "The incident happened at around 11.30pm on Friday, July 3 when the victim was at the ticket barriers. She was attacked by two women after she had accidentally struck a member of their group's arm when walking past them. The victim suffered a black eye, scratches, and had her hair pulled from her head."
Officers believe the women in the images may have information that could assist their enquiries. Anyone who recognises them is asked to text BTP on 61016, or call 0800 40 50 40, using reference 828 of 3 July. Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
