Dramatic dashcam footage has emerged showing a black hatchback flipping and rolling across the M25 after clipping another vehicle. The incident occurred on Sunday, July 5, between junctions 12 and 13 near Staines, Surrey, causing traffic to come to a standstill as bystanders rushed to assist.
Shocking Moment Captured on Camera
The video, recorded from a car traveling behind, shows the black hatchback moving into the middle lane before clipping the vehicle in front, sending it into a violent roll across the tarmac. The driver of the recording vehicle can be heard gasping 's**t', while a female passenger shouts 'F**k' in shock.
As the overturned car came to rest, several motorists abandoned their own vehicles to run to the aid of those trapped inside. The quick response of fellow drivers highlighted the community spirit on the busy motorway.
Emergency Services Respond
Surrey Police confirmed they were called to the scene at approximately 5.40pm following reports of a collision involving two vehicles. Ambulance crews, firefighters, and National Highways officers also attended the incident, which closed lanes and caused delays for motorists.
The two occupants of the overturned car were treated at the scene by paramedics before being transported to St Peter’s Hospital in Chertsey for further medical checks, according to the South East Coast Ambulance Service.
