A street in Edgware that has been closed for gas works since March is scheduled to reopen in late May, while several other road closures will begin or continue across Harrow throughout the month, according to the Local Democracy Reporting Service.
Edgware Street to Reopen
Whitchurch Road in Edgware has been closed since March 13 for essential gas works. The road is expected to reopen by May 20, ending over two months of disruption for local residents and commuters.
Norman Crescent Closure Extended
Norman Crescent in Hatch End will remain closed for the entire month of May due to essential water works. The closure, which began on April 7, is not expected to be lifted until June 19. Drivers are advised to seek alternative routes to avoid delays.
Rayners Lane Disruptions
Several roads in Rayners Lane will be affected by water works throughout May. Suffolk Road will be closed until May 1, while Rayners Lane itself will be shut from May 1 to May 5. Lyncroft Avenue will be closed from April 29 to May 8. From May 11 to May 22, Alfriston Avenue, The Ridgeway, and Eastcote Road will all be closed simultaneously. West Avenue will close from May 19 to May 21.
Other Closures
Cavendish Avenue in Sudbury Hill will remain closed from April 20 until June 4 for gas works. West End Avenue in Pinner will be shut until May 17 for road maintenance. Sylvia Avenue in Hatch End will close from May 18 to May 22 for water works. Larkfield Avenue in Wealdstone will be closed until May 1 for electric works. Burnt Oak Broadway in Edgware will close from May 11 to May 19 for telecoms works.
Residents are urged to check diversion routes and plan journeys in advance to minimize disruption.
