Arcade Arena, a 1990s-themed arcade experience featuring real-life Pac-Man, neon karting, and immersive drone battles, will open its doors on September 5 at 26 Lambeth High Street on London's Southbank. The venue, which has already proven successful in Manchester and Dubai, will be one of the capital's largest arcade experiences, with tickets starting from £30 and advance bookings available through January next year.
Venue Details and Offerings
The multi-storey venue takes over the former Workshop event space, which previously hosted temporary community events like Imagination Labs. Arcade Arena will transform these floors into a games palace for visitors, featuring several distinct attractions.
Among the highlights is Cosmic Cadets, described as "the UK’s first ever immersive drone experience," where players embark on a mission to save the universe from alien enemies. Another attraction, Chaos Karts, allows players to control electric karts while navigating a projected screen that changes scenes, simulating high-speed driving through an alien landscape.
Pac-Man Live Experience
The Pac-Man live experience is expected to be a major draw, with visitors assuming the role of Pac-Man and racing through a brightly-lit maze while collecting power emblems and avoiding spirits. This interactive game is part of a broader trend of modern bars packed with arcade games, allowing visitors to compete in a fun-filled atmosphere.
Founder's Vision and Expansion Plans
Tom Lionetti-Maguire, founder and CEO of Little Lion Entertainment, expressed enthusiasm for the London venue, stating: "Arcade Arena is redefining the attractions industry and joining the gaps between live experiences and video games. The success of this venue in both Manchester and Dubai proves that the human need for in-person interactivity and connectivity transcends borders and cultures. This new venue will be the first of many new location announcements over the coming months, both within the UK and abroad as we embark on our ambitious growth plans."
He added: "Our London Arcade Arena will be our boldest, most electrifying venue yet, bringing both of our existing games to as prominent a location as you can get in London, and just wait until you see the third game we have in store!"
Arcade Arena opens at 26 Lambeth High Street on September 5, offering a nostalgic yet modern gaming experience for visitors. With its immersive attractions and central location, the venue is poised to become a significant addition to London's entertainment scene.
