Deliveroo is set to transform the dining experience for Londoners by launching a new restaurant table booking service directly through its app. The move marks a significant expansion beyond its core takeaway delivery business, as the company seeks to diversify and drive growth in the competitive food service market.
New Service: Deliveroo Reservations
Starting Thursday, Deliveroo users in London will be able to reserve tables at hundreds of leading eateries across the capital. Participating restaurants include popular names such as Dishoom, Dove, Hide, Kricket, Barrafina, and Kolae. The service leverages technology from SevenRooms, a restaurant booking platform that was acquired by DoorDash—Deliveroo's parent company—for approximately £900 million last year.
This initiative follows DoorDash's successful introduction of restaurant bookings on its US platform in late 2025. By integrating SevenRooms into the Deliveroo app, the company aims to provide a seamless experience for diners while helping restaurants attract new customers and increase revenue.
Expansion Plans
While the feature launches exclusively in London, Deliveroo has confirmed plans to extend the service across the UK later this year. This strategic expansion is part of a broader effort to boost growth and offer more value to both consumers and restaurant partners.
Suzy McClintock, vice president for consumer and new verticals at Deliveroo, commented: "This launch is about supporting restaurants to grow in new ways. Whether it's a Deliveroo order or a reservation in store, we want to drive discovery, demand and revenue across every channel." She added: "By fully integrating SevenRooms into the Deliveroo app, we're giving restaurants access to new customers and giving diners an easier way to discover and book some of London's best tables – all in one place."
Joel Montaniel, vice president and co-founder of SevenRooms, said: "Restaurants thrive on the relationships they build with their guests. Bringing reservations into the Deliveroo app gives London restaurants a new way to connect with diners and grow, while making it easy for consumers to discover and book great restaurants."
Deliveroo was acquired by DoorDash for £2.9 billion last year, and this latest development underscores the company's commitment to innovation and customer convenience in the evolving food industry.
