Stanmore flood: Burst water main diverts three bus routes

Spur Road in Stanmore is closed eastbound between A5 Stonegrove and Edgware Way after a burst water main flooded the area, disrupting traffic and diverting three bus routes.

Affinity Water repairs underway

Affinity Water engineering teams are on site fixing the issue. A spokesperson said: "Our technician on site has managed to make adjustments to the pipework, so all customers should be back on supply, but at a lower water pressure. Our teams are constantly monitoring the water pressure on the network, and it is rising."

Residents urged to limit water use

Homes and businesses in postcodes HA8, WD6, WD7, and NW7 may experience poor water supply. Residents are advised to avoid using washing machines, dishwashers, and other water-using appliances until the problem is fully resolved. A further update is expected around midday.
