Getting to the airport from London is about to become significantly easier and more affordable, as a major coach provider announces a huge expansion of its services.
Major Service Expansion Details
National Express has revealed plans to operate more than 300 journeys daily between central London and Stansted Airport. This enhanced timetable comes into effect from December 8, 2025, perfectly timed for the busy Christmas travel period.
The key improvements focus on increasing frequency and adding new stop locations. Travellers from Liverpool Street will see a substantial boost, with daily departures rising from 49 to 86 journeys per day. This provides up to four services every hour, offering far greater flexibility.
Furthermore, Bethnal Green will be introduced as a new stop, improving access for residents in that area. Services originating from Canary Wharf will also increase from 22 to 35 per day.

In a move that will relieve many passengers, National Express is offering this expanded service at a budget-friendly price. A one-way ticket will cost just £11, presenting a stark contrast to more expensive rail alternatives. The journey time is approximately 45 minutes, making it a competitive option for time-conscious airport travellers.
