A dog has been rescued from Snapper Island in Batemans Bay, New South Wales, after being stranded for several days. The animal was spotted by a local resident who alerted authorities.
Rescue Operation Details
The rescue operation was launched by the New South Wales Department of Planning, Industry and Environment, in coordination with the local council. A team of rangers used a boat to reach the island, which is located off the coast of Batemans Bay.
Dog's Condition
Upon arrival, the dog was found to be in good health despite the ordeal. It had access to fresh water and had managed to find shelter on the island. The dog was given food and water before being transported back to the mainland.
The rescue team noted that the dog appeared to be a domestic pet, possibly lost during a boating trip or from a nearby property. Authorities are now working to reunite the dog with its owner.
