Arson Investigation Launched After Three Cars Set Alight in Hackney

An arson investigation has been launched after three cars were deliberately set on fire in East London. The incident occurred on Ballance Road in Hackney at approximately 4:30 AM on Tuesday, May 26. Emergency services were called to the scene, where three stationary vehicles were found engulfed in flames. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed that inquiries are ongoing to locate any suspects. A police cordon was established at the scene, and images show a burnt-out car as evidence of the blaze. In a separate, unrelated incident earlier that morning in Hackney, a teenager was stabbed to death during a large gathering. Authorities have stated that there is currently no indication linking the two events.

A spokesperson for the Met Police said: “Police were called by the London Fire Brigade to Ballance Road, Hackney, at 4:39 AM on Tuesday, May 26, following reports of a fire. Three stationary cars were located on fire. No injuries have been reported. Officers have launched an arson investigation, and enquiries remain ongoing.
