Kaleb Cooper's Ecstatic Reaction to Choir's Britain's Got Talent Win
Clarkson's Farm star Kaleb Cooper was seen jumping for joy after The Hawkstone Farmers Choir's Britain's Got Talent win on Saturday night. The 27-year-old joined Jeremy Clarkson's partner Lisa and beloved cast members Gerald Cooper and Charlie Ireland as they waited to find out the winner of the ITV talent show.
Watching anxiously on a large screen outside The Farmer's Dog pub, the group saw the choir take home a whopping £250,000 as winners of the competition. As the winner was crowned, Kaleb, Charlie and Lisa can all be seen jumping to their feet before hugging each other. Jeremy, 65, who funded and formed the choir, was in the ITV audience and cheered on the choir wildly after their win.
Jeremy Clarkson's Emotional Response
Speaking after the choir's triumph, Jeremy said the group's win is 'the best thing ever'. In a post on judge Simon Cowell's Instagram, Clarkson told him: 'That was incredible, wasn't it? I was genuinely nervous. The girl on the door said, "oh, I'm not sure they're going to win", the odds were drifting, and I thought, no. These guys worked so hard, it's the best thing ever, Simon, thank you for having them.'
Cowell added: 'Well, you've heard it from me, you've heard it from Jeremy, and yeah, they did deserve it. Great winners, great finalists… thanks everyone for watching.'
The Choir's Triumph
The choir, who became the first act of its kind to win the competition, will receive a £250,000 cash prize and the opportunity to perform at the annual Royal Variety Performance. Before their performance, the group described Clarkson as their 'biggest cheerleader' and added they 'couldn't thank him enough', while judge KSI said he wanted to add their original song, This Is Home, to his Spotify playlist after they performed it.
During the final, Cowell said he had questioned their decision to perform an original song but told them 'it paid off' after their performance, calling it 'absolutely stunning', 'heartfelt' and 'joyous', while fellow judge Amanda Holden was brought to tears.
Other Finalists and Reactions
Dog act Anastasiia and Salsa finished in third place, while drone display team Celestial finished second after a pre-recorded performance recreating moments from previous series of Britain's Got Talent with illuminated drones. Speaking to the audience, judge Amanda Holden said: 'I could not be happier, I am blown away because they deserve it so much and their farmers, isn't it brilliant! I'm going to have a pint now!'
