Crown Prince Haakon joined thousands of Norwegian fans to celebrate the country's historic victory at the FIFA World Cup's round of 16. As many as 50,000 people watched the match against Brazil at Rådhusplassen, the square outside the town hall in Oslo, according to the city council.
Royal celebration
Wearing a Norway football scarf around his neck, Haakon met a throng of fans outside the royal palace and was later seen taking part in a mass Viking row. The Norwegian team defeated Brazil, with striker Erling Haaland scoring two goals in the second half.
